Blue Era is an educational science comic book aimed at children aged 8 to 11, which was serialized for three seasons in Taiwan's largest children's newspaper and was voted number one by readers. The series uses "anthropomorphic marine creatures" to compare the coral reef ecosystem to various professions in human cities. It follows the adventure of the protagonist, Dr. Blue Streak, a bluestreak cleaner wrasse, and his team as they resist the enemy of the coral reef kingdom, the demon race (crown-of-thorns starfish). Through exciting stories and character developments, the series cleverly presents the characteristics of various creatures and subtly conveys scientific knowledge to children.
